Frequently Asked Questions
Do LOBOO wide foot pegs replace my stock pegs, or go over them?
They bolt directly over your existing stock pegs — no removal required. LOBOO wide pegs use a lossless installation design that mounts over the OEM footrest without modifying or discarding it. This keeps installation simple, keeps the upgrade fully reversible, and means your original fold-up mechanism continues to work normally if your bike has one. Installation takes under 30 minutes with a basic socket set.
How much wider are LOBOO wide pegs compared to stock?
LOBOO wide pegs provide a significantly larger platform surface area than OEM pegs across all supported models. The exact dimensions vary by model, but the design priority is maximising the usable boot contact area while keeping the peg profile compact enough to avoid interfering with frame geometry or cornering clearance. The concave-convex grip surface also increases the effective grip area beyond what the raw dimensions suggest — your boot locks into the texture rather than resting on a flat plate.
Will wide foot pegs affect my cornering clearance?
LOBOO wide pegs are designed with ADV and touring bikes in mind, where lean angles are moderate and standing riding is a priority. The platform extension is engineered to stay within safe clearance margins for the supported models. If you ride a sportbike or frequently push maximum lean angles on track, wide pegs are not recommended for that use case — but for ADV, touring, and dual-sport riding, clearance is not a concern on any supported LOBOO model.
Are the pegs compatible with both rider and passenger footrests?
The LOBOO wide foot pegs in this collection are designed for rider footrests. Some models (such as the Honda GL1800) include options for passenger peg extensions — check the individual product listing for your model. The bolt-over installation design means fitment depends on the specific OEM peg geometry at each mounting position, which differs between rider and passenger locations on most bikes.
Can I use wide foot pegs with my existing bar risers?
Yes — wide foot pegs and handlebar risers are designed to work together and are in fact the most effective ergonomic combination for ADV riding. Risers bring your bars to the correct height for standing, and wider pegs give you the platform stability to actually stand comfortably. Many LOBOO riders install both in the same session. Neither upgrade affects the fitment or function of the other.
Do the pegs stay in place on muddy or wet trails?
Yes — the concave-convex surface pattern on LOBOO wide pegs is specifically designed to grip boot soles in wet and muddy conditions. The raised texture bites into the sole material from multiple angles, not just from directly below. This is the same grip principle used on dedicated enduro and off-road pegs, applied to a touring-friendly form factor that doesn't shred your boots on the daily commute.
What other upgrades pair well with wide foot pegs for off-road ADV riding?
The most impactful combination is wide foot pegs + handlebar risers — these two together fundamentally change how the bike feels when standing. For protection, add crash bars to guard the engine on technical terrain, and a kickstand extension to keep t
Motorcycle Wide Foot Pegs — Off-Road Platform Buying Guide
Stock foot pegs are engineered for the average rider in average conditions. Off-road, the narrow factory platform gives your boot minimal surface contact — and when you're standing on the pegs through a rocky section or a long gravel stretch, that translates directly into foot fatigue, instability, and lost control. LOBOO wide foot pegs replace that compromise with a significantly larger CNC-machined aluminum platform, purpose-built for BMW, Honda, and Suzuki adventure and touring motorcycles. The result is more boot contact, better standing control, and less fatigue on the rides that matter most.
Why Wider Pegs Make a Real Difference Off-Road
When you stand on the pegs off-road, your foot position becomes your primary contact point with the bike — more important than the handlebars for balance and weight transfer. A wider platform distributes your boot's load across more surface area, reducing pressure points during long standing sections and giving you a more planted, confident feel when the terrain gets rough. LOBOO wide foot pegs are X-Team tested on real trails in extreme conditions before release, so the geometry and grip pattern reflect actual standing riding demands rather than lab specifications.
- Enlarged Platform Area — Significantly wider than OEM pegs for greater boot coverage, better weight distribution, and improved standing control on rough terrain.
- Concave Anti-Slip Design — Raised concave-convex surface pattern grips the sole of your boot from multiple angles, reducing slip risk even when pegs are wet or muddy.
- Lossless Bolt-Over Installation — Installs directly over your original foot pegs without removing them. No disassembly, no modification, no risk to your stock setup.
- CNC Aluminum Construction — High-strength alloy, precision-machined for exact fitment and a lightweight platform that adds grip without adding noticeable weight.
Do You Need to Remove Your Stock Pegs?
No — and this is one of LOBOO's most practical design decisions. Unlike most wide peg upgrades that require unbolting and discarding the OEM footrests, LOBOO wide pegs bolt directly over the existing pegs. This means installation takes minutes, requires no tools beyond a basic socket set, and is fully reversible. If you ever want to return to stock — for resale, service, or preference — the original pegs are undisturbed underneath. It also means the OEM fold-up mechanism (where present) continues to function normally.

Current fitments include BMW 310GS / F750GS / F850GS / S1000XR / R1200GS / R1250GS, Honda CB400X / CB500X / NC750X / NX400 (2024+), Honda GL1800 Gold Wing, Suzuki DL650 V-Strom, and Suzuki GW250 / DL250. New fitments are added regularly — contact our team if your model isn't listed.
Complete Your Ergonomics Build
Wide foot pegs are the foundation of off-road ergonomics — but they work best alongside handlebar risers that bring your bars to the right height for standing riding. Together, these two upgrades transform how your bike feels off-road. For full ADV protection, add stainless steel crash bars to protect the engine when the terrain fights back, and mount LED auxiliary lights for visibility when early starts and late finishes are part of the plan.
