Frequently Asked Questions
Will my Garmin Zumo or RAM Mount system fit a LOBOO GPS mount?
Yes — LOBOO GPS mounts are offered in 12mm and 22mm shaft sizes, which cover the two most common mounting standards. The 12mm shaft works with Garmin Zumo cradles and most aftermarket ball-mount systems. The 22mm shaft is compatible with RAM Mount X-Grip holders and large-diameter bar clamp systems. The KTM 390/790 multi-kit includes all three sizes (12/16/22mm) so you can fit virtually any device. If you're unsure which size your current mount requires, check the clamp opening measurement on your GPS or phone holder.
What is the D-shape anti-rotation design, and why does it matter?
Most GPS mounting shafts are round — which means vibration can gradually rotate your device out of position, forcing you to adjust mid-ride. LOBOO's D-shape shaft has one flat side that keys into the device clamp, preventing any rotational movement. On rough off-road terrain where vibration is continuous, this keeps your screen angle locked exactly where you set it. It's a small engineering detail that makes a real difference on technical trails.
Do LOBOO GPS mounts work on bikes with TFT displays?
Yes — and this is a key advantage of LOBOO's model-specific design. Several LOBOO GPS mounts (BMW R1300GS, BMW F-series, KTM 790/890) are engineered specifically around the TFT instrument cluster geometry. They bolt into the original display mounting points and position the navigation shaft above or beside the screen without blocking gauges or interfering with the windshield. Generic handlebar mounts often conflict with TFT clusters on modern ADV bikes — the model-specific fitment eliminates this problem.
Does the GPS mount interfere with my handlebar risers or phone holder?
No — LOBOO GPS mounts bolt into your instrument cluster or windshield mounts rather than clamping to the handlebar, so they don't compete for bar space with handlebar risers or phone holders. In fact, running both a GPS mount and a phone holder is a common setup among long-distance ADV riders: the GPS handles primary navigation, and the phone mount provides backup or communication access. Both can coexist cleanly on most LOBOO-supported models.
How difficult is the installation? Do I need a mechanic?
Installation is straightforward for most riders comfortable with basic tools. LOBOO GPS mounts use your bike's original mounting points — no drilling, cutting, or structural modification required. For BMW GS models, the mount attaches via existing TFT display bolts. For KTM Adventure models, it integrates with the front end above the instrument pod. Most installations take 15–30 minutes. A full guide with photos is included, and our support team is available 7 days a week if you hit a snag.
Can I run a dash cam or action camera on the same mount?
Yes — the 12mm and 22mm shafts are compatible with most GoPro-style action camera bar mounts and dash cam holders, in addition to GPS and phone mounts. The KTM 390/790 multi-kit with all three shaft sizes is the most versatile option for riders who want to run multiple devices or switch between a camera and a GPS unit depending on the ride. Mounting hardware for cameras is not included but any standard 1/4" tripod or RAM-style bar clamp adapter will fit the 12mm shaft.
What other cockpit upgrades pair well with a GPS mount?
For a complete navigation and comfort setup: add handlebar risers to bring your entire cockpit into an ergonomic sightline — your GPS, phone, and bars all at the right height simultaneously. Pair with a LOBOO anti-vibration phone holder for smartphone backup navigation. And for visibility during night rides or early morning starts, our LED auxiliary lights mount cleanly to your crash bars without adding handlebar clutter.
Motorcycle GPS Mounts — Navigation Bracket Buying Guide
A GPS mount is only as good as its worst bump. If your navigation device bounces, vibrates out of view, or rotates after every trail section, it's not a mount — it's a distraction. LOBOO motorcycle GPS mounts are precision-engineered for BMW, KTM, and Honda adventure motorcycles with model-specific fitment that puts your device exactly where it belongs: stable, in your sightline, and factory-looking on your cockpit.
Why LOBOO GPS Mounts Stay Put
Generic mounts clamp to your handlebar and vibrate loose. LOBOO GPS mounts bolt directly into your bike's original TFT display or instrument cluster mounting points — no handlebar clutter, no cable routing conflicts, and no wobble. The D-shape anti-rotation shaft design is the key detail: unlike round shafts that can spin under vibration, the flat-sided D-profile locks your device angle in position permanently, even on corrugated dirt roads.
- D-Shape Anti-Rotation Shaft — Flat profile prevents your GPS or phone mount from rotating on rough terrain. Set it once, forget it.
- 12mm & 22mm Shaft Options — Fits the mounting requirements of Garmin Zumo, RAM Mount systems, and most phone holder clamps without adapters.
- CNC Aluminum + 304 Stainless Steel — Corrosion-resistant, vibration-damping construction with a hard-anodized sandblasted finish that integrates with your bike's OEM aesthetic.
- TFT-Display Specific Fitment — Designed around your bike's actual instrument cluster geometry, not a universal bracket. No interference with gauges, windshields, or wiring.
Which Shaft Size Do You Need?
The 12mm shaft suits standard GPS cradles (Garmin Zumo series) and most aftermarket phone mounts with a ball-and-socket clamp. The 22mm shaft is used by RAM Mount X-Grip systems and larger bar-clamp phone holders. If you run multiple devices or want future flexibility, the KTM 390/790 multi-kit includes all three shaft sizes (12mm, 16mm, 22mm) in one bracket — so you never have to guess. Check your device's mount spec before ordering, and contact us if you're unsure.
Compatible Models
Current fitments include the BMW R1300GS (2023+) and R1300GS Adventure (2024+), BMW F750GS / F800GS / F850GS / F900GS Adventure (TFT models), KTM 390 / 790 / 890 Adventure, KTM 1290 Super Adventure S/R (2022+), Husqvarna Norden 901, and CFMOTO 800MT / 800MT-X (2024+). New fitments are added regularly as new model generations release.
Complete Your Navigation Setup
A GPS mount is step one. Pair it with a LOBOO anti-vibration phone holder for magnetic-damped smartphone navigation, or run both a dedicated GPS unit and a phone mount side by side using the dual-shaft bracket. For full cockpit comfort, combine with handlebar risers to bring everything — bars, screen, and navigation — into a single ergonomic sightline. And if you're mounting lights at the same time, our LED auxiliary lights are designed to share crash bar mounting points without adding handlebar clutter.
