Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the PH02S and PH06?

The core difference is the vibration damping system. The PH02S uses multi-stage rubber damping — effective for road and light off-road use at a $57 price point. The PH06 uses LOBOO's patented magnetic damping structure, which reduces transmitted vibration intensity by increasing the amplitude at the isolator — providing superior phone stability on heavily corrugated off-road terrain and continuous rough-road vibration. The PH06 also adds a 1-second auto-lock mechanism for faster single-handed loading. If you ride only on paved roads, the PH02S is sufficient. If you ride any significant off-road, the PH06's magnetic damping is a meaningful upgrade that protects both your phone's OIS module and your navigation readability.

Will handlebar vibration damage my phone's camera?

On high-vibration engines — particularly large single and twin-cylinder motors at low RPM off-road — sustained vibration can damage the optical image stabilisation (OIS) module in smartphone cameras over time. Apple, Samsung, and other manufacturers have issued guidance on this risk. LOBOO's vibration damping systems, particularly the magnetic damping in the PH06, are designed to reduce the vibration transmitted to the phone to safe levels for extended riding. The PH06's magnetic damping system is specifically engineered around this use case — protecting cameras as well as keeping the display stable.

Does wireless charging work through a phone case?

Yes — the 15W wireless charging module in both the PH02S and PH06 works through standard plastic, rubber, and thin leather phone cases up to approximately 3–4mm thick. Cases with metal plates or built-in card holders may interfere with wireless charging, in which case the wired 24W PD fast charging option provides an alternative that is not affected by case material. The charging port connector is accessible on both models with the phone mounted.

Can I mount the phone holder on a GPS mount bar rather than the handlebar?

Yes — if your GPS mount includes a 22mm crossbar (as most LOBOO GPS mounts do), the PH02S and PH06 can be clamped to that bar rather than the handlebar itself. This positions the phone in the windshield area alongside your GPS unit rather than on the bars, which many riders prefer for ergonomic sightline alignment. Check the crossbar diameter on your specific GPS mount before ordering to confirm compatibility.

What phone sizes are compatible?

The PH02S accommodates phones from 65–98mm wide, 125–170mm long, and up to 13mm thick including the case — covering all current iPhone models (including Max sizes), Samsung Galaxy S and Note series, and virtually all large-format Android devices. The PH06 accommodates 65–92mm wide, 125–169mm long, and up to 12.5mm thick. If your phone is at the upper end of the width range, measure with your case installed before ordering.

How does the 1-second auto-lock on the PH06 work?

The PH06 uses a patented dual-stage locking mechanism. Place your phone against the mount and press — the lower jaw springs up automatically to grip the bottom edge of the phone, and the upper sliding block extends to secure the top simultaneously. The entire process takes under a second and requires no manual clamp tightening. To release, press the side trigger. This is specifically designed for use with gloves on, where standard screw-tighten clamps are awkward and slow at trailheads.

What other cockpit accessories pair well with a phone holder?

For a complete cockpit setup, pair your phone holder with a GPS mount for a dedicated navigation device position, handlebar risers to bring both your bars and mounted devices into an ergonomic sightline when standing, and LED auxiliary lights to extend the visibility that makes your navigation useful in low-light conditions. For total cockpit security, crash bars with integrated mounting points provide a more stable base for accessories than bar clamps alone.

Motorcycle Phone Holders — Anti-Vibration Buying Guide

A motorcycle phone mount is only useful if it actually keeps your phone stable. Engine vibration — particularly on single and twin-cylinder ADV engines at trail speeds — generates high-frequency oscillation that can blur your navigation display, activate phantom touchscreen inputs, and over time damage your phone's optical image stabilisation module. Generic bar clamps simply attach your phone to a vibrating bar. LOBOO phone holders are engineered with dedicated vibration damping systems that interrupt the vibration path between your handlebar and your phone, keeping navigation readable and your device protected regardless of what surface you're riding on.

Two Models, One Purpose — Choose by Riding Profile

PH02S — $57 | Value Performance

The PH02S is LOBOO's entry model for riders who need reliable phone mounting with integrated charging at a practical price point. It supports phones from 65–98mm wide (effectively all current smartphones including large-format devices) and mounts to handlebars from 22–32mm diameter. Charging options include 15W wireless and 24W PD wired fast charging — both simultaneously available depending on your preference. Multiple mounting configurations are available: standard handlebar, rear-view mirror mount, and 13mm stem mount for bikes with available stem positions. Best for: riders who spend the majority of their time on paved or light gravel roads and want charging + mounting without investing in the full flagship system.

PH06 — $142 | Flagship Magnetic Damping

The PH06 is built around a patented magnetic damping structure — the key technical distinction from the PH02S and from generic phone mounts. Standard vibration damping uses rubber isolators that absorb vibration at the cost of some rigidity. LOBOO's magnetic damping system works differently: it increases the amplitude of vibration at the isolator to reduce the intensity transmitted to the phone — the same principle used in premium camera stabilisation systems. The result is a phone display that remains stable and readable even on heavily corrugated dirt roads and technical off-road terrain where standard mounts bounce and blur. The PH06 also features a 1-second auto-lock clamping mechanism that secures your phone without manual adjustment — critical when loading and unloading at trailheads with gloves on. Phone width range is 65–92mm, handlebar fit is 22–32mm, and charging is identical to the PH02S: 15W wireless and wired fast charging. Best for: riders who do any meaningful off-road riding, carry flagship-tier phones whose cameras they want to protect, or ride on rough urban roads where vibration is constant.

  • Anti-Vibration Engineering — Both models include vibration damping. The PH06 uses LOBOO's patented magnetic damping system for superior isolation on rough terrain; the PH02S uses multi-stage rubber damping for road and light off-road use.
  • Integrated Fast Charging — 15W wireless and 24W PD wired charging on both models. Keep your phone powered through full-day navigation sessions without a separate charging cable run.
  • Universal Handlebar Fit — Both models fit 22–32mm diameter handlebars, covering virtually all ADV, touring, and street motorcycles. The PH02S also supports mirror mount and 13mm stem positions.
  • 360° Rotation — Both models allow free rotation for portrait or landscape orientation, lockable at any angle for your preferred navigation view.

Works Alongside GPS Mounts

Many LOBOO riders run both a phone holder and a dedicated GPS mount simultaneously — the GPS mount provides a clean, windshield-area mounting position for a Garmin or primary navigation device, while the phone holder on the handlebar gives secondary access to maps, music, and communication. The two systems mount independently and don't compete for the same position on the bike.

Compatible Models

Both the PH02S and PH06 fit universally across BMW, KTM, Honda, and all other motorcycles with 22–32mm handlebars. No model-specific fitment required — if your bars are in that diameter range, the holder fits. The data cable extension accessory ($9) works with both PH06 and PH02S for cleaner cable routing to your bike's charging circuit.
