Frequently Asked Questions
Will my Garmin Zumo or RAM Mount system fit a LOBOO GPS mount?
Yes — LOBOO GPS mounts are offered in 12mm and 22mm shaft sizes, which cover the two most common mounting standards. The 12mm shaft works with Garmin Zumo cradles and most aftermarket ball-mount systems. The 22mm shaft is compatible with RAM Mount X-Grip holders and large-diameter bar clamp systems. The KTM 390/790 multi-kit includes all three sizes (12/16/22mm) so you can fit virtually any device. If you're unsure which size your current mount requires, check the clamp opening measurement on your GPS or phone holder.
What is the D-shape anti-rotation design, and why does it matter?
Most GPS mounting shafts are round — which means vibration can gradually rotate your device out of position, forcing you to adjust mid-ride. LOBOO's D-shape shaft has one flat side that keys into the device clamp, preventing any rotational movement. On rough off-road terrain where vibration is continuous, this keeps your screen angle locked exactly where you set it. It's a small engineering detail that makes a real difference on technical trails.
Do LOBOO GPS mounts work on bikes with TFT displays?
Yes — and this is a key advantage of LOBOO's model-specific design. Several LOBOO GPS mounts (BMW R1300GS, BMW F-series, KTM 790/890) are engineered specifically around the TFT instrument cluster geometry. They bolt into the original display mounting points and position the navigation shaft above or beside the screen without blocking gauges or interfering with the windshield. Generic handlebar mounts often conflict with TFT clusters on modern ADV bikes — the model-specific fitment eliminates this problem.
Does the GPS mount interfere with my handlebar risers or phone holder?
No — LOBOO GPS mounts bolt into your instrument cluster or windshield mounts rather than clamping to the handlebar, so they don't compete for bar space with handlebar risers or phone holders. In fact, running both a GPS mount and a phone holder is a common setup among long-distance ADV riders: the GPS handles primary navigation, and the phone mount provides backup or communication access. Both can coexist cleanly on most LOBOO-supported models.
How difficult is the installation? Do I need a mechanic?
Installation is straightforward for most riders comfortable with basic tools. LOBOO GPS mounts use your bike's original mounting points — no drilling, cutting, or structural modification required. For BMW GS models, the mount attaches via existing TFT display bolts. For KTM Adventure models, it integrates with the front end above the instrument pod. Most installations take 15–30 minutes. A full guide with photos is included, and our support team is available 7 days a week if you hit a snag.
Can I run a dash cam or action camera on the same mount?
Yes — the 12mm and 22mm shafts are compatible with most GoPro-style action camera bar mounts and dash cam holders, in addition to GPS and phone mounts. The KTM 390/790 multi-kit with all three shaft sizes is the most versatile option for riders who want to run multiple devices or switch between a camera and a GPS unit depending on the ride. Mounting hardware for cameras is not included but any standard 1/4" tripod or RAM-style bar clamp adapter will fit the 12mm shaft.
What other cockpit upgrades pair well with a GPS mount?
For a complete navigation and comfort setup: add handlebar risers to bring your entire cockpit into an ergonomic sightline — your GPS, phone, and bars all at the right height simultaneously. Pair with a LOBOO anti-vibration phone holder for smartphone backup navigation. And for visibility during night rides or early morning starts, our LED auxiliary lights mount cleanly to your crash bars without adding handlebar clutter.
-
Optimal øjenhøjdeplacering: Vi monterer vores beslag over instrumentbrættet.
-
